Discussions re: purpose of blog. No purpose here. It's just like my rambling, I want to say something and here it is.
No news to impart - haven't checked in with folks lately. Will call DA after this post. I is readying herself for school and the Manga Con in Vancouver WA. Chico is here while Ann houses Tizzy's stud, Jake. Jake and Tiz have played but Tizzy shuns his mounting advances. Nobody's getting any around these parts.
Lots of house and yard projects to do and four days off so not much excuse not to do them. I'd like to play, but no ideas come to mind of what and with whom. Of course, there's always my uke. I'm sure we'll work on bonding this weekend.

We played music for about two and a half hours - Terry & Char, Nick & Suzie, A came for a short while. Served snacks, but I don't think they are necessary for the next time. Beer, fer shur, and water... We all want to do it again. I am having one of those days where I can't seem to get my voice out, but I didn't let it bother me. Complimented on my picking attempts :-)
There's a workshop next month that I want to go to and I need to seek out others. Will most likely meet with these folks again soon. I have no plan to let my uke go the wayside just because my original instructor is on leave (medical leave?).
Anyway, It's still relatively early since I don't have to work tomorrow, so I will put myself to work doing something productive. Or maybe talk someone into coffee or something.

Hm. Not a bad day. More stuff out of the house and some cleaning in anticipation of tomorrow. Went to church and then to coffee with M. Another flick night with Ivey - tonight "Jurassic Park" and "Bollywood Hollywood".
More party prep in the AM - six yeses, two noes, one last minute invite, unknown status. All couples, but no worries for me.

The music gathering is coming together. I'm enjoying fixing up the house for it. Not like I'm actually doing any work, but continuing to declutter and reorganize. It's already after noon and I'm beginning to feel like there isn't enough day today. Nice change from feeling like every miserable moment was drawing out.
Last night I made a decision to have selective amnesia (aka denial). None of it happened so there's nothing to miss. I still get the good stuff - uke friends, et cetera - but that whole "us" thing is tucked away into the "to be sorted" file.
Ivey and I had a great evening, watching a video then walking to McD's for ice cream.
Made eggs and biscuits this morning. Mike came by yesterday and brought a gift from the KOC - weed and lawn care stuff. He is so thoughtful. He also bartered a video for some Blue Mountain coffee which he says is REALLY good, so I may get to try that out.
Right now I'm good. My workplace is not good. Jeanne suggested Feng Shui assessment and I'm thinking it is a good idea since I feel like crap when I'm there.
Mom is doing okay, not eating enough and has a bad bed sore on her heel, but she is getting dressed every day.
House and home stuff to do. I'll check in later. Hope all is well with you. Thanks for being here.

Newest update is wait and see. Life is short, tho', and patience is not a big strength for me BUT it's all about growth so -

At home today. Yes, it's a work day. I am actually doing some work from home courtesy of telephone and internet. Couldn't bear to actually be there. Something about the grey walls.
I feel better. My unhappiness is my own doing. I give a lot of power to others for my feelings. Not a good thing. Goal for therapy - work on that.

Hello, it's 'mi

I'm all for a clean sweep. Delete, shred, rip up, pack up, give it away. It isn't that I'm not sentimental, it's that I'm too sentimental and have the impulse to dwell and mope. Better to have it out of sight and out of mind. At least that's how I feel on day five. I reserve the right to change my mind at anytime. I just wish he would... :-(

Miss 'mi?

It's been a while...
The past nearly nine months have been lovely, but change is inevitable and comes whether I'm ready or not. On to the next thing.
Certainly plenty going on.
High school registration today - student body card, class schedule, locker assignment. Hellos in the hallway, helpful staff, dazed looking parents and lots of pieces of paper. All went well.
Latest update on my folks - Mom walked with a walker today. The new facility is cleaner and apparently the food is better (I don't think it could have been much worse than the other place). Peter took DA out to visit her. I have rides arranged for DA this week, still a couple of spots to fill for next week.
Ivey has a new sewing machine and set it up in her room today. She was also in the mood to see stuff go and let me take a couple bags worth away. We went to the library, and grocery shopping and then watched "Strictly Ballroom" in the evening. Despite feeling sad, it was a good day.
